PLUTUX

Where the crypto work started

Plutux — the exchange landing page, The True Exchange Experience, with the bull-headed Plutus and its isometric world

Plutux was a cryptocurrency exchange built around Plutus, the Greek god of wealth, rendered as a bull-headed figure. I was the in-house designer for everything around the product: brand and marketing material, motion, character work, merchandise, and the design for launch events. For a welcome event I built a microsite and a small game where visitors earned points redeemable as tokens.

BULLRUN — the launch-event pixel game: title screen, side-scrolling runs and a score screen where points cashed out as tokens
The launch event's microsite and game, where points cashed out as tokens.

It was my first job in the industry, and the reason it's still here is that the industry stuck. Nearly everything I've designed since traces back to learning this category from the marketing side first: what it has to prove to people before it can ask them for money.
